What is Clearing?
Clearing is part of the application process. It helps students who have not yet secured a university place to find and apply for a course.
Who can apply through Clearing?
You can apply through Clearing from 1 July if you’ve already applied through UCAS and you do not hold any offers. You may also use Clearing if:
you’ve changed your mind since first choosing your firm and insurance choices on UCAS
you are not holding any offers when you get your results
Any applications made from 1 July will automatically be entered into Clearing.
When does Clearing open?
Clearing is now open until September 2021.
How do I apply through Clearing?
You can apply through Clearing from 1 July. Start by researching to find the right course for you. Contact us to search our courses now to get prepared.
If you already have your results, you can apply via our course pages.
If you’re waiting for your results on 10 August 2021, call us as soon as you have them. Make sure you have all your qualifications to hand, including your GCSE results. It’s also helpful to have your UCAS number and a pen and paper to take any notes.
If you meet our entry requirements and we can offer you a place, we’ll let you know when you contact us. You’ll receive formal confirmation via email with a deadline for confirming your acceptance of the place offered to you.
What should I do when I have an offer?
If you contact us on results day and we offer you a place, you then need to confirm your spot.
Once you have confirmed that you are accepting the offer.
When we’ve verified your results, we’ll formally confirm your place via email. You’ll also receive official confirmation from UCAS and see details of your place on UCAS Track. If your course requires a portfolio, we’ll need to assess this before confirming your offer. Further details will be provided in your offer letter.
I’ve not applied to university yet – can I apply through Clearing?
If you’ve not yet applied to university, you can complete an application until 20 September.
